Vanessa + James were married on picturesque Koh Samui, Thailand. Their family and friends flew in from Australia and the U.K. to share in several days of adventure and relaxation (and cocktails)… we were there to capture their story.

We joined them for a cruise through the Ao Nang National Marine Park – snorkelling and sightseeing around the breathtaking archepelago – before celebrating their beautifully styled and laid-back wedding day at the luxurious beachfront resort The Library.

“Having the perfect photographer to capture our wedding was one of the most important details for us when we were planning our big day. So we were ecstatic when we stumbled across the incredible duo behind She Takes Pictures He Makes Films and they agreed to shoot our wedding.

We ‘dragged’ them over to Thailand with us, and in exchange Lucy and Alastair offered to shoot not just our wedding day but spend the weekend with us.  They fit in like a couple of extra guests (but with awesome cameras that they knew how to use) and managed to capture the true magic of a special time with friends and family.  Their light hearted professionalism smoothed over a few stresses on the day and helped to relax/tricked some of our more un-photogenic guests (groom & MOB included) into producing beautiful imagery.
